Founded in 1639, the city of Newport is located in Newport County, Rhode Island, at the southern tip of Aquidneck Island, and is bounded by Middletown to the north and three bodies of water: Narragansett Bay to the west; Sakonnet River to the east; and Rhode Island Sound to the south.

The coastal town of Bristol is located approximately 30 minutes north of Newport. Steeped in rich history that spans three centuries, Bristol is a quintessential New England waterfront town that seamlessly blends outdoor beauty with cultural pleasures.
The historic enclave is studded with parks featuring a bike/walking path for recreational opportunities and stunning vistas along with a treasure trove of centuries-old homes, museums, and locally-owned boutiques, seafood eateries and restaurants.

The bustling Port of Galilee, the second largest commercial fishing port in New England, guarantees the freshest fish on the East Coast.
Galilee is also the main port for the Block Island ferries and Rhode Island's only whale watching excursion onboard the Gail Frances.
